Food Bank Collection

Dear Parents and Carers,

From Monday 9th December until Friday, 13th December 2024, we are asking every student to bring along a food donation to their Tutor to support the Testwood Baptist Church Food Bank to help the vulnerable and needy in our community at Christmastime.

The foodbank offers help to local people in crisis, who are often referred by specialist agencies such as social services, GP surgeries, schools, care centres and probation teams. We would be grateful if your child could bring in any of the following, to help with our collection for this worthwhile cause.

  • Tea
  • Coffee
  • Biscuits
  • Breakfast Cereals
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Soup
  • Baked Beans/Spaghetti
  • Tinned Fruit
  • UHT Milk
  • Tinned Meat
  • Tinned Fish
  • Tinned Ready Meal
  • Tinned Cold Meat
  • Tinned Tomatoes
  • Tinned Veg
  • Tinned Potatoes
  • Rice Pudding
  • Custard

Unfortunately, the foodbank is not able to store fresh or chilled items. Small packets and tins are preferred, if possible please.
If you wish to donate, please could you put the items into a box or bag which your child can then bring into school and hand to their tutor from Monday 9th December. All the donations will be taken to the Testwood Baptist Church on the afternoon of Friday 13th December.

Many thanks in advance for anything you are able to give.
