As Business is all around us; AQA GCSE Business covers aspects of all areas related to Business. This is a 2 year programme covering 6 units, with two exam papers at the end of Year 11.
The Units covered over in Year 10 & 11 are Business in the Real World, Influences on Business, Business Operations, Human Resources, Marketing and Finance.
GCSE Business is the preparation for the world of work, and cross curricular with many other subjects, including English, Maths, Geography, Media and PSHE.
Curriculum Intent
GCSE Business is a stepping stone for those wanting to go on to further education to study any A’ level, T Level, apprenticeships or vocational level subjects. Or are ready for the world of work.
The skills and knowledge learnt in this subject will support any student choosing any vocation. Students familiarise themselves with key words and terminology relations to the world outside the classroom and teaches students to look into analysis and evaluations of key decisions needed to be successful and understand consequences.
