Lost Property

  1. Lost property

If you have lost or misplaced any items, students should go to the pastoral support office to report the loss.

Parents / Carers can call or email reception to be connected to pastoral support office regarding lost property.

  1. Named Items

For items that are delivered to us named, we will communicate with students and reunite them with their property as soon as possible.

  1. Unnamed Items

All unnamed items brought to the pastoral support office and reported as lost property will be listed below and updated daily. Students are more than welcome to come in to the pastoral office at break and lunch to have a look at these items. Parents and Carers can make an appointment to see lost property with pastoral staff from 8am until 3pm every day.

For expensive or sentimental items such as watches and jewellery, we would ask that a full description be provided to Pastoral Support Staff in order to claim the item back.

  1. Missing Items

We will also hold a ‘Lost’ list so that students and parents are able to report items as missing and we can keep an eye out for them in school.

Report a lost item

Please note that parents / carers can help us to reunite items with students by naming everything that is brought into school.

Please also regularly check your child’s uniform and PE Kit when washing it, as labels do come off.

Property will be kept for 12 months. If the property is not claimed within 12 months, it will be donated to a charity shop in Totton at the end of the period. Unmarked items of school uniform which are not claimed within the 12 months period will be added to our second hand uniform supply. Other items of clothing which are unsuitable for donation to a charity shop, will be placed in a supermarket clothing bank. Shoes and trainers will be treated in the same way.

This policy was approved by the Board of Trustees and will be reviewed annually.
