Every student at Testwood School has the opportunity to follow all National Curriculum subjects as well as following an appropriate curriculum pathway for their GCSEs.
We are committed to narrowing the attainment gap between students with SEND and those who have not. This may include before, during and after school interventions, short-term intervention programmes, home-school intervention programmes or other learning interventions which are developed based on an individual’s needs.
Testwood has good attendance as students want to come to School to experience our high quality learning environment.
If your child has a disability and you would like to know more about what we offer please contact us on 02380 862146

 Links with outside organisations

Testwood works in a collaborative partnership with many different agencies. This means that a supportive plan can be developed to meet your child’s needs both in and out of school.

We hold regular meetings to monitor the plan and make changes, when necessary, to the plan. We call these meetings Team Around the Family because that is what they are – a meeting where you and your family consult with the team members to implement the plan developed to support your child.

We will also use the Early Help Assessments to record information you provide about your child, this will provide a baseline to develop a multi-agency planned approach to addressing the SEND of your child.

Listed below are some of the outside agencies with whom we work collaboratively:

Hampshire Special Educational Needs Team
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
Hampshire Specialist Teacher Advisor team for Visual and Heairng impairment and Physical disability.
Educational Psychologists (EPs)
Communication and Language Team
